Small Town Charm in the Gorgeous Finger Lakes Area.
Waterfalls, Wine-Tasting, and an Incredible Stay.
Experience the Finger Lakes Region
The Finger Lakes Region of New York State is a 9,000 square mile, four-season playground, set against a backdrop of Mother Nature: from waterfalls and gorges, to rolling hills and vineyards and miles of breathtaking shoreline around 11 glacial lakes and one Great Lake.
The eleven pristine Finger Lakes are glacial formations shaped during the Pleistocene Ice Age, the most recent ice age in our planet’s history. If you go by Native American legend, a different story is told— one of a Great Spirit blessed this land with his hands, leaving the shape of his fingers behind. No matter what you like to do, you’ll find it in the incredible Finger Lakes.
Wine Country.
The finger Lakes are the largest wine producing region in the U.S. east of California, boasting over 130 wineries (plus wine tours, wine festivals and wine bars, and wine trails). The 11 finger lakes create a microclimate that provides ideal growing conditions for vineyards. The Finger Lakes is known for its Rieslings and other world-class whites, as well as delicious, deep-bodied reds.
Year-Round Activities.
The Finger Lakes region has an outdoor adventure for any season. Ski Briston Mountain (15 minutes away) or visit the “Grand Canyon of the East,” Letchworth State Park (1 hour way). Bike through rolling hills and winding roads past lakes and vineyards, zip-line through the trees at Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures or climb one of their seven challenge ropes courses. Take a hot air balloon ride or visit one of the eleven lakes for fishing or swimming.
Culinary Experiences.
The Finger Lakes offers award-winning food, homemade delicacies, and culinary creations like no other: hot tomato oil and stretch bread are a favorite to the east in Syracuse, Grape Pie in Naples, NY, the Naples Grape Festival each year, and Ithaca is home to the first ever ice cream sundae. Try the incredible BBQ at the Original Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, take a cooking class at the New York Kitchen, or the ever-changing menu at FLX Table.
